Dr Peter Nolan was a presenter at Polio Australia’s 2012 Sunshine Coast Polio Health and Wellness Retreat and was highly recommended by those from the Polio NSW Committee who attended.

We were delighted that he accepted our invitation to present at our 2012 Annual General Meeting Seminar and we strongly encouraged members to support him and the Committee by coming along to hear his two very informative presentations.

Dr Nolan is a General Physician at Toowoomba Hospital, Queensland, as well as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the Rural Clinical School, University of Queensland. He has been working with polio survivors for a number of years and has a particular interest in respiratory problems in the post-polio community.

Dr Nolan was recently awarded the University of Queensland Medical School Excellence in Rural Clinical Teaching Award.

Dr Nolan gave two talks to members following the Annual General Meeting: The Post-Polio Syndrome – An Orphan Disease and Cough, Spit and Breathlessness: Respiratory Issues for Polio Survivors.

Dr Nolan’s presentations were video recorded and are now available for viewing by clicking on the pictures or links below.
