  • Invitations to half yearly Seminars, held in metropolitan Sydney where local and interstate speakers address a diverse range of post-polio and disability issues.
  • Invitations to a Country Conference held in a New South Wales country centre every second year.
  • Eligibility to participate in, or convene, regional Support Groups which provide local assistance.
  • Through Polio Awareness Month held throughout Australia each October, the opportunity to assist Polio NSW to promote its existence and activities by informing people who have had polio, carers, family members, health professionals, policy makers, service providers and the community in general about the late effects of polio.
  • Participation in immunisation programs in conjunction with the New South Wales Divisions of General Practice, and participation in medical and community education programs about the late effects of polio.
  • The opportunity to contribute your skills and talents to assist others who have had polio, or to help with organisational tasks or fund-raising. Volunteers can work on a regular or occasional basis, at home or in the Polio NSW office which is graciously provided by The Northcott Society.
  • The right to vote in elections for the Polio NSW Management Committee and to participate in deciding the direction and programs of Polio NSW.
